Exports and zero-rated sales

Exports are usually zero-rated for VAT. RockifyERP keeps them separate so returns are easy.

How to do it in RockifyERP

  1. Create an Export tax category and a zero-rated sales template.
  2. Set the category on export customers.
  3. Raise invoices in the customer’s currency, such as USD, if needed.
  4. Keep export documents (entries, bills of lading) attached to the invoice.

Tip: Zero-rated isn’t the same as exempt. Zero-rated sales usually still let you claim input VAT.
