Lead, contact or customer?

RockifyERP uses three related records. Knowing the difference keeps your data clean.

What you need to know

  • Lead: someone who might buy. No transactions yet.
  • Customer: a business or person you sell to, with invoices and a balance.
  • Contact: a person linked to a customer, supplier or lead, with their phone and email.
  • When a lead converts, RockifyERP creates the customer and links the contact.

Tip: Never create a customer just to send a quotation. Quote the lead instead.
