Production and material planning

What you need to know

  • A production plan gathers demand and explodes BOMs into material needs.
  • It creates work orders for products and material requests for shortages.
  • Projected stock is used so you don’t buy what’s already coming.

Tip: Run planning weekly, after sales orders for the week are in.
