Moving to RockifyERP: overview
Moving from spreadsheets or another accounting system to RockifyERP is a project with clear stages. Done in order, it takes days, not months.
What you need to know
- 1. Choose a go-live date, ideally the start of a month or financial year.
- 2. Clean your data: remove duplicates and inactive customers, suppliers and items.
- 3. Import masters: chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, items and employees.
- 4. Import opening balances as at the day before go-live: accounts, unpaid invoices, stock and assets.
- 5. Check: the RockifyERP trial balance must match your old system’s closing trial balance.
- 6. Go live and stop entering transactions in the old system.
Tip: Run old and new systems side by side for one week at most. Longer parallel runs cause double work and confusion.
