Withholding tax deducted by customers

Large customers and government bodies in East Africa often withhold tax (for example VAT or income withholding) when they pay you. Record it in RockifyERP so the invoice clears.

How to do it in RockifyERP

  1. Create the payment entry for the net amount received.
  2. Add a deduction row for the withholding tax receivable account and the amount withheld.
  3. Save and Submit.
  4. When you get the certificate, attach it to the payment entry.

Tip: Reconcile your withholding tax receivable account with the tax authority’s statement before filing returns.
