How item valuation works

RockifyERP calculates each item’s valuation rate from receipts, using FIFO or moving average, so cost of sales is accurate.

What you need to know

  • Receipts set the incoming rate, including landed costs.
  • Deliveries and issues use the valuation rate at that moment.
  • Back-dated entries trigger reposting to keep later rates correct.

Tip: Check the valuation rate on new items after their first receipt.
