Serial numbers and batches
RockifyERP can track individual units by serial number (such as phones or machines) and lots by batch (such as medicines or food with expiry dates).
What you need to know
- Serial numbers: tick Has Serial No on the item. Each unit is tracked from receipt to sale.
- Batches: tick Has Batch No. Each lot has its own quantity, manufacturing and expiry date.
- Tracked items need the serial or batch on every receipt, transfer and delivery.
Tip: Decide on tracking before the first transaction. It can’t be switched on easily later.
