Key terms in RockifyERP

A few words come up again and again in RockifyERP. Knowing them makes every other guide easier.

What you need to know

  • Master: a record you set up once and reuse, such as a customer, supplier, item, warehouse or employee.
  • Transaction: a record of something that happened, such as a quotation, sales invoice, payment or stock entry.
  • Draft, Submitted, Cancelled: a transaction starts as a draft you can edit. Submitting it makes it final and posts it to stock and accounts. To fix a submitted document, you cancel it and amend a copy.
  • Workspace: a home screen for one area of the business, such as Selling or Stock.
  • Naming series: the pattern RockifyERP uses to number documents, for example ACC-SINV-2026-00001.
  • Company: the legal business the records belong to. One RockifyERP site can hold several companies.

Tip: You can’t edit a submitted document. Cancel and amend it instead, so RockifyERP keeps a full audit trail.
